Intended Use
Hayton-Williams Forceps are specialized cranio-maxillofacial surgical instruments indicated for the disimpaction, forward traction, and reduction of complex maxillary fractures, including Le Fort classifications and severe midface trauma.
Function
Featuring broad, uniquely curved, and deeply serrated jaws, these forceps securely grasp the fractured maxilla along the palatal and alveolar bone segments. They allow the surgeon to apply powerful, controlled forward and downward traction to free impacted bone. Unlike basic reduction clamps, Hayton-Williams forceps typically incorporate an adjustable screw-lock mechanism.
