VMC Operator
Job Summary
We are seeking a hardworking, disciplined, and technically inclined VMC Operator to support daily machining operations in our manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines, ensuring component accuracy, maintaining machine settings, and meeting production targets. The role demands strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor VMC machines as per production requirements.
- Set machine tools, adjust offsets, and ensure proper cutting parameters.
- Inspect machined components using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Gauges).
- Maintain machine cleanliness, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Identify and report any deviations, tool wear, or machine issues to the supervisor.
- Follow production schedules, quality control processes, and safety guidelines.
- Ensure accurate reporting of production output and daily activities.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum Experience: 6–8 months (preferred), up to 1–3 years accepted.
- Education: Any graduate / any field OR ITI/diploma candidates with machining knowledge preferred.
- Basic understanding of machine operations and measurement tools.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently during long shifts.
- Prior experience operating VMC or CNC machines will be an added advantage.
